Call for WorkshopsThe 35th Annual International Association for Social Science Information Service and Technology (IASSIST) conference will be held in collaboration with the International Federation of Data Organizations for the Social Science (IFDO). Hosted by the Finnish Social Science Data Archive and the University of Tampere, IASSIST/IFDO 2009 will take place in Tampere, Finland, 26-29 May, 2009. Proposals for workshops to be held at the 35th IASSIST conference should be submitted by November 21, 2008. Successful workshop proposals will blend lecture and hands-on instruction. The conference planning committee will provide the necessary classroom space and computing supplies for all workshops. For previous examples of IASSIST workshops, please see the program of 2008 conference. We will also be continuing to offer both half-day (3hr) workshops and the shorter workshop format introduced last year. Please consider submitting proposals for either a half-day workshop or a 1.5-2hrs workshop.
