Machine-readable study descriptions available only from Kuha2 after October

FSD’s comprehensive, machine-readable metadata descriptions can be harvested from Kuha2 OAI-MPH metadata server. The older API (Kuha1) will be shut down at the end of October.

FSD's data descriptions are available for harvesting through Kuha2 API. The older metadata server application will be shut down on October 28, 2021. The newer Kuha2 supports the same OAI-PMH protocol and provides more comprehensive metadata in several different formats.

— We are no longer aware of anyone using the older API now that the data descriptions are also available from the new interface in EAD3 format, says IT specialist Toni Sissala.

— To simplify the maintenance and save resources, we will close the old interface service, adds IT Manager Matti Heinonen. Kuha2 already provides more metadata in multiple formats.
