FSD has been granted a CoreTrustSeal certificate for the years 2024–2027
FSD has once again been awarded the international CoreTrustSeal certification. The certificate is proof of our commitment to preserving digital research data reliably, aligning with the needs of our designated community. We actively curate the data ensuring their usability and understandability, and effectively enable the reuse of data.
The certificate is valid for 2024–2027 and was issued in accordance with the requirements valid for 2023–2025. The requirements are periodically reviewed to clarify them and, if necessary, tighten them.
This renewal follows FSD’s previous CoreTrustSeal certification in 2022. Prior to this, FSD was also awarded with CoreTrustSeal's predecessor, the Data Seal of Approval (DSA).
CoreTrustSeal is an international, community based, non-governmental, and non-profit organisation that provides a core level certification for trusted digital repositories meeting the Core Trustworthy Data Repositories Requirements. The certification process involves a comprehensive self-assessment by the repository, supported by public documentation, with reviews conducted by the CoreTrustSeal Assembly of Reviewers. Certified repositories, in turn, are encouraged to participate in reviewing assessments as members of the CoreTrustSeal community.
