Service maintenance windows and service interruptions at FSD
Aila Data Service
Aila has a weekly maintenance window on Thursdays from 7:00 to 10:00. During this time, we cannot guarantee the availability of Aila, and service interruptions may occur.
We aim to carry out all necessary maintenance and development work during this time window and do not announce service interruptions separately. In practice, maintenance outages are usually significantly shorter than the reserved time window and often end early in the morning (Finnish time).
For planned service interruptions outside the maintenance window, we aim to inform users at least one week in advance via both our website and social media channels. Unexpected outages that significantly affect services are announced via social media.
Service discontinuation or major functional changes are usually announced at least two months in advance.
FSD's Other Services
FSD's public services and APIs are also updated on Thursdays during the maintenance window, following the same principles as Aila. Maintenance outages may therefore affect one or more of the following services:

- API Services
Tamperen University maintenance practices and their impact on FSD services
FSD's services, such as Aila and the website, are run within the Tampere Universites network. As a result, university maintenance outages may affect FSD services. University maintenance outages usually take place outside office hours, starting at 17:00, or early in the morning.
Planned longer service interruptions affecting FSD services, as well as unexpected outages caused by fault situations, are announced in the same way as other outages outside the maintenance window, either on the website or via social media.
