FSD shuts down Swedish data catalogue - data in Swedish continue to be archived
FSD’s Swedish data catalogue was closed down when the new Aila search was launched. FSD will continue to receive and archive data in Swedish, but data descriptions in Swedish are no longer created. Data in Swedish can still be easily found on the Aila Data Service by using the language filter.
In the future, questionnaires and other data-related material in Swedish will be published in the Finnish and English data catalogues. Codebooks in Swedish will no longer be created. However, whenever they are available, data files, questionnaires and any additional material in Swedish will be automatically included in data packages downloaded from Aila.
Datasets that have been described only in Swedish will remain in Swedish, but they can now be found in the Finnish catalogue. Datasets that had metadata both in Finnish and Swedish will only have a Finnish data description from now on.
